A few days after all this Joel, (General Manager) called me out of the blue to find out how my father was and give me even more good news. We have rented all of our lives and we have never ever seen such kindness. We would recommend CUBESMART to anyone that asked. Oh yea, I almost forgot the facility is very clean, well lighted and has beautiful storage units.
When I returned from the hospital they told me to sit and they would take care of it. I was so sick I could have kissed both of them. If it were not for the two of them we do not know how we would have loaded our storage unit. ‘BLESS BOTH OF YOU’
When my father fell and broke his hip and shattered bones, while moving into our storage unit very late at night, Brian made necessary arrangements for the medical staff to enter the facility. I thought I would be in trouble for leaving heavy fencing all in the isles, but, to our surprise, Haley (filling in at the Livonia location) jumped into action and contacted Andrew (Southfield, MI). They contacted me and informed me that they were going to help us get the fencing in the storage unit. When I asked how much it would cost Haley told me they just wanted to help us and there would be no cost. I couldn’t believe it, nobody ever goes this far and above to help anyone anymore. Talk about customer service, these two individuals should be in management and hopefully soon. I have never experienced such dedication and these two were like angels sent from heaven.
Extremely clean and the person on site, Joel, is extremely friendly. While unloading our belongings he came over to shovel snow and salt the area to make it easier for us to walk. He also walks around the area making sure all the units are secured and the property is kept clean. Interior units are climate controlled so no worries about freezing temperatures ruining any sensitive items.
This seems to be a fairly new facility so the prices reflect that. They are substantially cheaper than other competing storage facilities in the area (within 5 square miles).
Be mindful that insurance is required, as well as a lock. Insurance will cost you almost $15 per month, and a lock is almost $13. You can buy your own lock and the insurance is bypassed if you have your own insurance (homeowners or renters).

The staff that I encountered were very nice. They did not waste my time with irrelevant chit chat. They were quick, straight to the point, ad extremely courteous. In and out within 8 minutes, including a tour of the unit.
I hope that other storage units look at this because we have two other storage units (won’t mention the name) but they are right across the street on Grand River and they stink.
