The dinning experience @ this restaurant was less then expected. The Alfredo sauce from a grocery store shelf has more flavor. The meatballs are good but, the meat sauce was less of a sauce and more of a tomato water & ground beef. If you have to go because other people insist, stay away from the spaghetti. There are few options to counterbalance all the bad things. I like the family style of service they offer just not their food not only is dry pasta and jar sauce better tasting but, so is Chef Boyardee. This place used to be crowed, and now you can get in there easy, and now I know why.

I had tried Buca at a different location out of country and was impressed so after registering for Birthday deals, I found the Livonia location nearby locally. While management was polite, our particular server did not provide much attention at all, even in a relatively empty restaurant toward 9pm. The couple sitting at a table behind us received drinks, apps, and entrée before our apps were even ready. While the food was DELICIOUS, our particular server's lack of serving us was frustrating. We had asked for a marinara side, never was brought. No drink refill was ever asked for or promoted. We were checked on once during the entire visit for if things were alright (a 45 minute dinner perhaps).

The Chicken Marsala and side of mashed potatoes were delicious though! $3.50 each for iced tea and pop is a bit much, however.

Tasty food, mediocre service.

Used to love this place but it has gone downhill. Portions keep getting smaller as the price goes up. Particularly if you get it to go. I always ask for extra sauce on spaghetti and meatballs and they said they can only add it on the side at an extra charge. Love the Chicken Saltimbucca but last order was 4 tiny chicken breast and they put ham on it instead of prosciutto, which was overcooked on top it. The Apple Gorgonzola Salad is the best but again the portion size keeps shrinking. I think the large is the size of what a small used to be. Bread was another issue on carry out. I usually have a good size order for family of 5. Three large entrees, large salad and extra meatballs and I get 2 tiny pieces of bread. We really enjoy the food but the cost is out of touch with quantity you get. I live 45 minutes away and used to sacrifice the drive 2-3 times a month, now it is not worth it.

I had not been there in almost 20 yrs. I was not impressed. Ordered the spicy rigatoni and chicken. Asked if they could put mushrooms in it. Sure, for $1 more. Ordered a Caesar salad to go with, for $1.99 more. They came with our complimentary bread. 1 tiny loaf for 3 of us. Almost immediately asked for more bread. The butter was hard as a rock. Salad came in a small bowl. Meal came. The sauce and spiciness was nice. The chicken tasted like it was from yesterday. Hardly any mushrooms. The price of the meal for lunch was hardly worth it.

Ruined our family Christmas dinner!

I would not go there again!!! Overpriced and outdated!

Used the ladies room. OMG! What a hot mess that was!!! Peeling wallpaper, holes in the stalls, chipped tiles. I swear they haven't done anything to it since I was there last!!!

Bought gift cards for our entire family to fine here tonight and made reservations weeks in advance. Get a call 1 hour before dinner that there is no heat, but they will seat us near the bar where it's warm and to come on in. Upon arrival the young lady at the reception desk informs us that they are out of a very long list of menu items also. Absolutely unacceptable combo of suck! Now there are multiple families here in the cold crowded waiting room upset, and with no where to go for Christmas dinner. Furthermore the manager on duty seems to have no resolution as to what to do about our over $200 worth of gift cards that we now have absolutely no desire to spend here! Says he can't give us cash in exchange for them so we can try and find somewhere else to eat either. What a disaster!!!!!
